**HomeBrain** is a local-first home automation and voice-assistant platform by New Technology Research. HomeBrain brings smart home control into one self-hosted hub, combining device control, scenes, workflows, security, voice listeners, wall panels, local speech-to-text, local LLM support, and web/iOS administration. It supports integrations such as SmartThings, Ecobee, INSTEON/ISY, Logitech Harmony Hub, and direct HomeBrain-native device paths for Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread, and Matter. When a user connects third-party services, HomeBrain uses that data only to provide the requested smart home features, including device discovery, device state sync, automation execution, security status, and platform administration.
